Ceramica Concorde was set up in Spezzano di Fiorano in 1969 to produce semil-finished products for the ceramics industry. In 1976, Ceramics Altas was founded in Finale Emailia for production of double-fired floor and wall tiles. In 1981, the two companies merged to form Ceramiche Atlas Concorde, becoming the area's largest producer of single-fired white paste floor tiles. In 1988, Atlas Concorde introduced porcelain stoneware technology, and in 1996 it lanuched a program to renew its production facilities, making the company a reference point in the ceramic industry
